It's amazing nobody has yet reviewed this Hyper-Outstanding Double CD of Collegium Marianum led by Jana Semerádová, called Musici da Camera (Chamber Music) recorded in 2012.1) The composers included in this super enjoyable recording, were from different nationalities and their careers had a connection at one point or another with the Court of Prague and/or with Count Morzin. These composers are:Johann Georg Orschler (1698-1767) from PolandJohann Friedrich Fasch (1688-1758) from GermanyAntonín Reichenauer (1694-1730) from Czech RepublicChristian Gottlieb Postel (1697-1730) from Czech RepublicFrantišek Jiránek (1698-1778) from Czech RepublicFrantišek Ignác Antonin Tuma (1704-1774) from Czech Republicand the two more famous ones:Master Antonio Caldera (1670-1736) from ItalyandMaster Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (1678-1741) also from Venice, Italy2) The booklet inside is one of the most revealing pieces of information about the music contained in here, with plenty of historical and interesting facts, I enjoyed reading it for hours.3) On the technical side, the quality of the recording is at the par or even better than many big names; beautifully performed and masterly recorded and finished; it's one of the best-sounding CDs out there without a doubt.4) And finally, the main musicians who form this great Ensemble are, among many others:Jana Semerádová - Transverse Flute and DirectionSergio Azzolini - BassoonLenka Torgersen - First Violin on CD 1, andHelena Zemanová - First Violin on CD2If you're a collector of Baroque music, and have never heard some of the composers here described, please, get your copy, I know you're going to love it; it's that good.
