Easy setup. Website and you tube provided very good instructions. Had some issues with Verizon not activating the plan. Called support and they said they would contact Verizon and the issue should be resolved within 24 hours. Tested later that day and it has been working well ever since. Make sure the plan is activated and working BEFORE taking to the field.I had high hopes for this camera. The camera sends pictures literally Every minute. I spoke with customer service a few times which was great. Reset, rebooted, but unfortunately now regret. Changed out sim cards and replaced batteries a few times. It just doesn’t wanna cooperate and only take pics with motion. Batteries died quickly bc of over use.I really liked everything about this camera but it quit working after 3 months of use and ≈1500 picture/videos. batter life and app were better than expected. have not been able to get any help by calling customer service. Very unfortunate. I will update if the situation improves but now I am stuck with a camera that turns on but does not take pictures.Update Dec 20 2021. I was able to send the camera back after going thru their website and filing a warranty claim. They took the camera back no Qs asked and sent me a new Covert blackhawk camera. Hopefully this one lasts longer. Takes similar pictures to old Covert.I have been using cell camd for years. Usually Moultrie. The Delta had bad reviews so I thought I would spend a bit more for a quality camera. I purchased 2 and neither one has worked aside from the first 2 weeks. Customer service told me I had the wrong SD card(too fast) so I changed with a "covert" brand SD card. Having same issues. One camera sends zero pics in a heavily used area, and the other sends a picture every 60 seconds. At night it will light your area up like a strobe light. I have since bought 2 Moultrie Deltas and have zero complaints. Don't waste your money on these cameras.Bought this with high hopes after reading some reviews. Unfortunately after the camera goes inactive for 2 hours it no longer sent photos. It took photos but no longer transferred to the app. Contacted Covert and they indicated to use a “COVERT” SD card. So $30 later we still have to same operation. Formatted SD card, works for 4-6 hours and then goes offline. Spypoint is a great replacement thus far.I ordered and returned three of these cameras. 1)They are not reliable! They constantly would "freeze up" not take pictures!2)The covert app sucks3)pictures you get on the app are very low quality even though the camera is capable of much more that's only available on the sim card.Very very disappointing and a waste of my time my gas.This camera advertises video but we’ve yet to have a video recording and our settings are set for videos. Set up to go off every 5 minutes and we might get 3 camera shots per hour. Batteries are new as recommended. It does not perform consistently. Quality of camera is okay. Would not purchase again. Does not work as advertised in description.We went through two of these cameras and neither worked. Bought another brand from the store and it worked right out of the box, so it's not our area. Covert customer service was excellent to work with, but this model is just not good.
