I must say I was very impressed by the overall build of this tripod it's very well designed and feels strongI shoot real estate photography and wanted an extra tripod for difficult shots. Sometimes the best place for a shot I need is on a table or counter. With the Arca Swiss mount ball head, I can quickly take my camera off of my main tripod and mount it on this for those special place or angle shots.Second, having just tried a 360 camera, I found that, with the 1/4" mount for the ball head, I can take off the ball head and quickly mount the selfie stick for the 360 and use this handy little tripod as my base for the new 360s I'm doing. If you need a little tripod for these kinds of things, I highly recommend this one. Quality material, great ball head and it does all I need. (Plus, it's actually a good looking little thing!!)Beautiful to look at, satin black and gold anodized trim. Machined very well. A genuinely precision made item. Legs extend smoothly, head can be securely locked into any desired position. Had to buy a larger tabletop tripod to properly hold my big heavy Nikon camera, and now my new fairly large Sony digicam (FDR AX53). Have a very small, portable tripod, but the Big Nikon digital cam would barely stay up, and I found the Sony digicam would topple it, so needed a larger tripod. The only drawback is that this one does not fit into the digicam case, and is awkward to carry on overseas trips. Great around the home or throw in the car. If the size is appropriate for your purpose, and you appreciate quality, buy this one.The thing stripped itself in 2 uses. Waste of time and money. Cheap for a reason I'm guessing.I bought this to support a spotting scope unfortunately the ball head will not keep the scope from tilting down. The ball head could not possibly support a slr camera with a zoom lens as shown on web page.I needed to get a small travel tripod that can provide a stable platform for recording content from a webcam and from an audio recorder. I am extremely pleased with my initial out-of-the-box experience of the tripod(s). These are not lightweight thin products -- quite robust and sturdy. Fits my needs 100%.I also invested in a little more robust tripod platform for any future needs. I have a Canon M5 that I use as a travel camera and this tripod would handle this with no issues. I also have a Nikon D750, and as long as you don't overload it with a long / heavy lens (like the 70-200 2.8) this should be just fine. This is aluminum in construction, not carbon fiber. Weight is in line with what I expected. This is probably best used for inside use, or for use outside in a more urban environment. Not sure I would pack this for use on a beach or a more aggressive external environment.Comes with a drawstring bag for when it is folded up for packing and transport. Also in the box is a hex key for tightening the legs and securing the plate to the bottom of the device (camera, recorder, etc).Mounting plate does not look like a "standard Arca-Swiss" base, but it has the same concept (in a smaller design). I would suggest that at the same time you pick this up, that you pick up a couple of extra mounting plates if you intend to use this across multiple devices. If you need more stability, there is a weight hook on the bottom of the center column. I wouldn't trust this in a hurricane, but given a good sandbag, you are probably going to be fine for any needs of stability in moderate winds. I probably wouldn't put more than 5-10 pounds of weight on the hook (did not see any guidance from the manual on this topic).Summary: Good sturdy product. Not super slim or overly compact as compared to some of the more plastic-y small platforms that are more meant to be "smart phone / Go Pro" tripods -- but if you need something that has more of a range of use for travel I would highly suggest this one. Also a good alternative for those times you want to have a tripod "just in case" and visually hidden as opposed to lugging around a tripod that tends to "stand out" because you have to strap it to the outside of your camera bag.Muy estable, bastante compacto. Dos detalles que tiene a diferencia de otras marcas. 1 los seguros para las posiciones no tienen regreso automático hay que moverlos manualmente. 2 es pesado para su tamaño. Una buena compra.Genial, en tamaño y estabilidad.Nuestra Cámara tiene un peso total de 1,145kg y aguanta perfectamente las posiciones.Buena relación calidad-precio.Leg locks do not grip properly.Rubber grips on leg lock slip over locks rather than aid gripDoes not appear to adequately support camera weight it claims to handle.Wasted money. Very disappointing.erfüllt meine erwartung für bridgekameras sehr gutBest tripod for the buck.Wise design.
